We met briefly on December 26, 2024, at a family gathering during Angelo’s first visit to Barbados in 24 years. We crossed paths again without showing any interest, never knowing that December 26 would become our wedding date.

The Call

After Angelo returned to the UK, a simple hello led to a birthday call on April 4, 2025. A few minutes became hours, and although we were miles and five hours apart, we never felt distant. We have not missed a day of talking since.

From the beginning, we knew we had found what we were looking for and quickly became best friends. On January 18, 2026, Angelo led Kim closer to the beachfront, got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. It was her easiest yes ever.
